Introduction to libnsl
The libnsl package contains the public client interface for NIS(YP). It replaces the NIS library that used to be in glibc.

Development versions of BLFS may not build or run some packages properly if LFS or dependencies have been updated since the most recent stable versions of the books.

libnsl Dependencies
Required
Installation of libnsl
Install libnsl by running the following commands:
./configure --sysconfdir=/etc --disable-static && make
This package does not come with a test suite.
Now, as the root user:
make install

--disable-static: This
switch prevents installation of static versions of the libraries.
